We are proud to announce the 41st Ronald E. McNair golf tournament.
Why It Matters
Dr. Ronald E. McNair was a physicist, NASA astronaut, and Omega Psi Phi brother who became only the second African American to fly in space. He was tragically lost aboard the Space Shuttle Challenger in 1986. For 41 years, our chapter has honored his memory through this tournament - funding scholarships that change the trajectory of students' lives across Central Texas.
Since 1989, the Epsilon Iota Foundation has awarded over $72,000 in scholarships to deserving high school students across Greater Austin. Since 2004, we have also contributed $32,000 to the Dr. Ronald E. McNair Endowment at Huston-Tillotson University, supporting first-generation and STEM-focused scholars.
About the Tournament
Date: Saturday, July 11, 2026 - Teravista Golf Club, Round Rock, TX
Format: 18-Hole Scramble, Shotgun Start - 8:00 AM
Attendance: 60–100 Austin-area professionals, executives, and community leaders
Awards Ceremony: 1:30 PM - prizes, raffle, and silent auction
